WTT (Work Time Tracker) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide

When using WTT, you may choose to enter the following information:

  • Workplace information (job names, pay rates, holiday year settings)
  • Shift data (start times, end times, break information)

Automatically Collected Information

WTT does not automatically collect any personal information, usage analytics, or device identifiers.

How We Store Your Information

All your data is stored locally on your device only. WTT uses Apple’s Core Data framework with SwiftData to store your information directly on your iPhone or iPad. This means:

  • Your personal information never leaves your device
  • We do not have access to your data
  • Your data is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party services
  • Your information is protected by your device’s built-in security features

Data We Do NOT Collect

WTT does not collect, transmit, or store:

  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or app performance metrics
  • Device identifiers
  • Contact information beyond what you voluntarily enter
  • Photos or camera access
  • Microphone access
  • Any data from other apps on your device

Notifications

WTT may request permission to send local notifications to remind you about upcoming shifts. These notifications are:

  • Generated locally on your device
  • Not transmitted to external servers
  • Based solely on the shift information you enter
  • Can be disabled at any time in your device settings

Data Sharing

Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not share your information with:

  • Third-party companies

Data Export and Import

WTT provides features to:

  • Export your shift data as CSV or PDF files for your personal use
  • Import shift data from CSV files

When you use these features:

  • Files are created and saved locally on your device
  • You control where these files are shared (if at all)
  • We do not receive copies of exported data

Data Security

Your data security is maintained through:

  • Local device storage using Apple’s secure Core Data framework
  • No network transmission of personal data
  • Protection through your device’s built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID)

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your data remains on your device until you delete it
  • You can delete individual shifts, workplaces, or all data within the app
  • Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all stored data
  • We cannot recover deleted data as we do not maintain backups

Children’s Privacy

WTT is designed for users who are employed and of working age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app requires users to enter employment-related information that would typically only be relevant to working individuals.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

  • The updated policy will be included with app updates
  • We will notify users of significant changes through the app
  • The “Last Updated” date will be revised

International Users

Since all data is stored locally on your device, WTT complies with international privacy regulations including:

  • GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
  • CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act)
  • Other regional privacy laws

Your data never crosses borders as it never leaves your device.
